A Message From Dr. Adriana Backus:

I had a very personal experience with acute injury and pain at a young age, which ultimately fueled my passion for patient care:  At age fourteen, I was a highly trained ballet dancer.  In preparing for a performance, while doing a huge leap across the floor in ballet, I landed poorly, and consequently injured my foot as well as my back.  

Feeling as though I had no other option, I continued to dance through the pain in preparation for the performance.  Six weeks later, the performance was over, but I was in a great deal of pain.

That was my first time seeing a chiropractor--after proper treatment of both my foot and back, I was out of pain and able to return to ballet. 

I know what it is to be in pain--I was a patient first, before I ever became a doctor.  

It is my mission to do for others what that chiropractor did for me--get my patients out of pain and back to doing the things they love.
